Hauni Richmond, Inc.
Richmond, Virginia
As a division of Korber AG of Germany, Hauni Richmond, Inc. deals
in high-speed equipment used in the processing of tobacco and in
cigarette production and packaging. Our firm began working for
Hauni in the 1960s with the design and construction of a
44,000 square foot plant facility housing extremely specialized
metal fabrication and testing equipment, including a metal heat
treating facility. Since completion of the original project, we
have been retained to provide Design and Construction
Administration services for four separate plant additions /
renovations including a 16,325 square foot addition completed in
the Spring of 1998, bringing total plant area to approximately
150,000 square feet. The plant facility remained in constant use
during construction of all plant additions / renovations.
Hanover County Vehicle Maintenance Facility
Hanover County, Virginia
Currently under construction, this 45,000 square
foot, state-of-the-art facility will provide for the maintenance
of all Hanover County vehicles. The facility consists of
approximately 8,000 square feet of Administrative Offices for the
Maintenance Group as well as the School Transportation Group, a
Customer Service Facility, a 50-seat Training Room with
Audio-Visual capability, employee lockers and showers, a Lunch
Room and an Outdoor Lunch Area. Also provided is a Spare Parts
Storage and Distribution Area, as well as a Distribution Area for
Batteries and Vehicle Fluids, a complete Radio Installation Shop (two
bays), a Radio Repair Shop, a Tire Storage Bay, a Machine Shop
with 13-50 deep Work Bays, and a 14-stall Light
Vehicle Repair Shop. Provisions are included for future expansion
of both shops and Administrative Offices.
