Tidewater Community College New Student Center, Norfolk, Virginia
Ballou Justice Upton recently completed work on the New Student Center at Tidewater Community College Norfolk Campus. The facility is a five-story urban building in downtown Norfolk, Virginia. It encompasses the existing green space of the site and responds to the urban fabric of Downtown Norfolk's commercial and historic districts. The building includes Student Activities Offices, Formal & Informal Lounge, Meeting Room, Study Lounge, Recreational Lounge, Food-Service Cafe Style and Retail Space.
This project achieved LEED Silver certification.

Virginia Tech New Basketball Practice Facility,Blacksburg, Virginia
Ballou Justice Upton worked with Virginia Tech to design the new 48,000 square foot athletic training facility for the Mens' and Womens' NCAA Division I basketball teams. The project included lounge and locker room spaces, team conference facilities, coaching office suites and memorabilia space devoted to Hokie Basketball.

Virginia Tech Campus Wide, Blacksburg, Virginia
Ballou Justice Upton has been a major contributor for over 50 years at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. We are particularly honored to have the J. Ambler Johnston Dormitory named for one of our founders. The firm designed Lane Stadium, Cassell Coliseum, the University Bookstore, Burruss Hall, McBryde Hall, Charles W. Rector Field House, Derring Hall and Dietrick Dining Hall, in addition to a majority of the other buildings on campus.

University of Richmond, Richmond, Virginia
Ballou Justice Upton took part in the original conception of the University of Richmond when it was moved from downtown to its present west Richmond campus. Our firm designed the vast majority of its buildings including the T.C. Williams School of Law, Modlin Fine Arts Building, North Court, Boatwright Memorial Library, Robins Center, Business School and many residence halls including Moore, Wood, Dennis, Robins, Gray Court and South Court.

Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia
Ballou Justice Upton has completed over 250 projects for Virginia Commonwealth University. These projects involved renovations and technology upgrades to classrooms, laboratories, study areas, auditoriums, and offices. Projects included renovation of Hibbs Building, Life Science Building, McGuire Hall Annex, Music Center, Nursing Education Building, Oliver Hall, Sanger Hall, Franklin Street Corridor and Scherer Hall.
